Graduate Internships

We are always looking for talented and ambitious young designers to join our team who are curious and driven by a desire to learn and excel. If this sounds like you then we want to hear from you!

Internships at Ignitec are a great first step in your design career and give a taste of the fast paced world of design in a consultancy environment. They present a wealth of opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills as you work alongside experienced designers and engineers who will challenge you and support you to learn new things. As well as giving you a taste of the different areas of industrial design, electronic design and software, we will help you to find your perfect role and provide extensive training and mentoring as you progress. At Ignitec we invest in our people, so wherever your strengths lie, we provide great opportunities and support to bold, young people who are not afraid to jump in at the deep end and carve out their own path. Our internships are 3 months and many go on to become permanent positions.

We receive a lot of applications and unfortunately, we can’t respond to them all so make it easy for us to pick you. Keep it short and sweet, tell us in a sentence or two why Ignitec needs you and don’t forget to include a portfolio of a handful of your best work as an attachment.

Application process

We offer internship positions to final year students and recent graduates all year round. Internships last for 3 months, we do not run internships which are longer or shorter than this. We only accept applications by email to internships@ignitec.com, applications must include a CV and recent portfolio of work. You must have completed a degree level qualification and hold or be predicted a 2:1 or above in Product Design or a relevant engineering discipline and be available to work full time for the duration of the internship. Applications must meet these criteria to be considered. Unfortunately due to the high volume of applications we receive we are not able to discuss positions or the progress of applications over the phone.

We are unable to offer placements or internships which fall outside of these requirements.
